Brazilian Banking Mogul, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi Two Cents On The Recent Economic Recovery

Even though the Brazilian government was quick to celebrate the recent improvements in its economy, highly proficient individuals in Brazil’s finance sector such as Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi beg to differ. According to Trabuco, the positive numbers seen in the country’s economy are part of a regular cycle which is often seen after a long time of economic woes and if no reforms are put in place to fill the void and curb it from forming again then the recovery being experienced currently will be all for nothing.

Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi voiced this opinion at the recent World Economic Forum for Latin America countries. He went on to add that if reforms to limit government spending are not put in place, then once again Brazil’s economy will find itself on the path of fiscal deficit and its chicken flight recovery will continue to be the trend time and time again. One of the reforms that Luiz insisted on was reviewing pensions of civil servants as they tend to get pensions that are 15 times greater than those of their counterparts in the private sector. His opinion was backed by Woodrow’s director Paul Sotero who went on to say that such pensions are not only leading the country’s economy to the road of fiscal deficit but are also a form of social injustice and hence should be revised with utmost urgency.
